So, who precisely is an entrepreneur, what are the qualities of an entrepreneur?... well Wikipedia says, "An entrepreneur is a person who has possession of a new enterprise, venture or concept and assumes important accountability for the inherent risks and the outcome"... umm... okay however I'd relatively say, that a great entrepreneur is a person who guides a manpower to be able to apply an thought(does not matter if it's his or of another person and whether it is new or old) to fulfill those that need the benefits produced by it, which results in monetary outcomes or profits.
So the fundamental characteristics or qualities of an entrepreneur would be:
- He or she should have an Concept (once more, irrespective of who originally considered it and whether it's new or old).
- He or Kevin Sheehan
she should have the motivation/urge to pursue or apply the idea.
- She or he ought to have entry to manpower or to the ability to make manpower accessible to him (marketing expertise apply right here).
- She or he should be a good leader.
However then, there are other kinds of individuals too who've some or most of the above mentioned qualities; but we do not call them Entrepreneur. A very good instance of such an individual may very well be a scientist. Scientists do have ideas or, in other words, they can truly create ideas. They're positively excited or motivated about pursuing their concepts and little question, they are good leaders as well they usually, for certain have access to no less than minimal manpower (No, most scientists do not work in solitude as shown in movies like Robin Williams' Flubber or Frankenstein, they've at the very least 2-10 folks working beneath them as junior scientists). However then why don't we call a scientist an entrepreneur as well? Is he an exception to the above definition?... food for thought huh?
And the way about a dictator? He has his personal or borrowed ideas, He wants to apply them, he has entry to man power, can information them very well... the truth is, they are going to do virtually anything he wants. So, does that imply, a dictator is an entrepreneur or, an entrepreneur is a dictator!!
